The 5th International Conference on Federalism was an international conference where different aspects of federalism were discussed. Although the conference was mostly conducted by academics, this occasion was also intended to promote federalism in Ethiopia and the whole of Africa.

Documentary Production and Documentation

Tamesol produced a documentary film that was distributed to each of the conference participants. This touched on issues of Federalism in the Ethiopian context and about Addis Ababa and Ethiopia (in the context of tourism, investment and development). The company’s video production unit also documented the event in photograph and in film.

Media and Press

There was a media campaign with press conference, radio and TV ads. The press conference was organized by the secretariat of the 5th International Conference on Federalism in collaboration with Tamesol Communications and other partners to ensure a good coverage of the conference in the media.

Cultural Show

The program was intended to resemble the spectacle of the Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Day, which was scheduled in the same week. This was done in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and over 1,500 performers came from all over the country to give a taste of their culture to the invited guests.

The Circus Ethiopia group along with world renowned Ethiopian contemporary dance choreographer, Junaid Sendi, presented a piece about federalism. This program was attended by several heads of state including H.E. Meles Zenawi, Prime Minister of Ethiopia.
